In domestic football, he earned the 2019–20 PFA Young Player of the Year and the first Premier League Young Player of the Season awards, was chosen for the PFA Team of the Year twice, and helped Liverpool win the 2019–20 Premier League to end a 30-year league title drought.

Alexander-Arnold has also represented England at all levels of junior competition and made his senior debut in 2018.

Since then, he has participated in the 2018 FIFA World Cup, where he became only the fourth youngster to start for England, and the 2018–19 UEFA Nations League, when his country finished third in the inaugural edition of the league.Early

Early Life And Education

Trent John Alexander-Arnold was born in West Derby, Liverpool, on October 7, 1998. He attended St. Matthew’s Catholic Primary School before enrolling in Crosby’s St. Mary’s.

When he was six years old, the local football team, Liverpool, organized a half-term camp for many students from his school, and his name was picked from a hat to attend.

There, academy coach Ian Barrigan observed him and subsequently approached his parents to offer him a seat in the club’s academy.

Initially training two to three times per week in a variety of positions, he later became club captain at the U16 and U18 levels under coach Pepijn Lijnders.

In the interim, he left St. Mary enrolled at Rainhill High School, a school with ties to the football club, at the age of 14.

During his tenure in the Liverpool youth system, Alexander-Arnold transitioned from wide midfielder to right back.

It was the position that afforded him the easiest road to the first team, and he thrived in his new job, earning praise from former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, who predicted in his autobiography that he would have a successful future with the club.

As a result of his rapid development and in preparation for the 2015–16 season, Brendan Rodgers included Trent Alexander-Arnold in the first team squad for the last pre-season friendly against Swindon Town, where he made his unofficial debut for the club in a 2–1 victory.

Advancement and innovation

Alexander-Arnold, who had previously participated in Liverpool’s preseason tour of the United States, made his professional debut on October 25, 2016, starting in a 2–1 EFL Cup victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

In the 68th minute, he was replaced by first-choice right-back Nathaniel Clyne, who had been cautioned in the first half for a foul on Ben Davies that he subsequently said may have resulted in a red card.

His performance earned him a berth in the EFL Cup Team of the Round alongside teammate Daniel Sturridge, despite his indiscretion.

International Career

Alexander-Arnold has represented England at multiple junior levels and was a participant in the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile. His three goals for the England U19 squad, including a brace against Croatia and another against Spain, were achieved by his three goals for the U19 squad.

Liverpool reached an agreement with England to rest him ahead of the following season’s league campaign, so he did not participate in the tournament itself. However, England went on to defeat Portugal in the tournament’s final and win its first-ever championship.

The month after the competition, he was called up for the first time to the England U21 squad for their UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifiers against the Netherlands and Latvia, and he made his debut in a 3–0 victory against Latvia.

He made two more appearances with the U21 squad before being promoted and establishing himself in the senior England camp.

Alexander-Arnold was invited to train with the senior national team for the first time in March 2018, while still a member of the U21 squad, prior to friendlies against Italy and the Netherlands.

In May of 2018, he was nominated for Gareth Southgate’s squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, marking his first call-up.

On June 7, 2018, he made his debut in a 2–0 pre-tournament friendly victory over Costa Rica at Elland Road. Prior to the match, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, presented him with his match shirt.

Alexander-Arnold then made his competitive debut on June 28, starting England’s 1–0 group-stage loss to Belgium after both teams had already qualified for the round of 16.

In doing so, he became just the fourth adolescent to start a World Cup match for England.

It was his sole appearance, as Kieran Trippier was preferred at right-back and played during England’s losses to Croatia in the semifinals and Belgium in the third-place match.

Personal Life

John Alexander, a former Reading and Millwall footballer and Manchester United club secretary, is the uncle of Alexander-Arnold.

Doreen Carling, his maternal grandmother, had a relationship with former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson before moving to New York City and marrying.

Before earning his England debut, Alexander-Arnold was eligible to play for the United States. Tyler, who is four years older and serves as his agent, and Marcel, who is three years younger, are his brothers.

Outside of football, Alexander-Arnold serves as an ambassador for the Liverpool-based organization An Hour for Others, which provides food hampers, toys, culinary classes, and scientific education to impoverished members of the community.

His mother first exposed him to the organization while he was in his mid-teens. During his time at Liverpool’s academy, he and colleague Kris Owens vowed to support the program if they became professional footballers.

In March 2019, after obtaining a new boot sponsorship with Under Armour (the second most valuable boot deal in England after Harry Kane), he launched plans to purchase plots in Liverpool and utilize the proceeds to develop additional pitches for the community.

As a child, he was introduced to the game of chess by his father, and in 2018, he competed in an invitational match against world champion Magnus Carlsen.

Alexander-Arnold was defeated after seventeen moves, eight more than technology magnate Bill Gates achieved when he faced Carlsen in 2014.

Later, Alexander-Arnold explained that chess had aided him in his football career by training him to think “two or three moves ahead” of his opponents.

In 2020, he and fellow Liverpool fullback Andrew Robertson starred in a digital series titled Wingmen on IGTV.
